Gifted Nominations
Ohio public school districts are required to identify K-12 students in four areas of giftedness: superior cognitive, creative thinking, and specific academic ability in reading, math, science, or social studies. These are identified through IOWA and COGAT standardized tests. A portfolio assessment or audition is required for giftedness in Visual or Performing arts ability in the fields of art, music, dance and drama identification.
